My Sublime Text Setup

Published 28th October 2013

I made the switch from Coda 2 to Sublime Text 3 recently and I’m really liking it so far. I tried the switch before but went back to Coda when v2 was released, and now I’m back to Sublime Text as of v3. Maybe that says something. Anyway here is my current Sublime Text 3 setup.

Preferences

This makes the folders in the sidebar bold. A helpful visual cue.

"bold_folder_labels": true,

The Monokai Extended Theme is really nice and adds support for some other stuff that the default Monokai theme is missing.

"color_scheme": "Packages/Monokai Extended/Monokai Extended.tmTheme",

This adds a visual marker to whitespace when it is selected. Great for finding unwanted whitespace.

"draw_white_space": "selection",

This adds a coloured highlight to tabs that have unsaved content. Again this is just a stronger visual cue.

"highlight_modified_tabs": true,

I like to be able to scroll past the end of a document so I can code with a bit of space.

"scroll_past_end": true,

I like the classic tabs look for the the Soda theme (see below).

"soda_classic_tabs": true,

The Soda Theme is a great looking UI theme for Sublime.

"theme": "Soda Light 3.sublime-theme"
