For a while now I’ve been beefing up my .bash_profile script with useful aliases. If you don’t know what .bash_profile is then read this great article which explains what it is and contains loads of useful info for getting started. I figured it might be helpful to share my .bash_profile to give others some inspiration, and to get some feedback and hints from others on the tricks they use in their .bash_profile. Feel free to contribute in the comments.
Update: After reading this post I’ve tweaked the setup to put everything in .bashrc and then source that from .bash_profile (and .zshrc if required). This should mean your aliases are always loaded when you start a new shell.
